This arrived in the post box 2 days after purchase in an exceedingly powerful cardboard box. The directions were contained in a card envelope looking awfully smart showing easy instructions in many languages. The cover itself is very well made with a peculiar hook system that most kindle users will recognise – I didn’t as my kindle has not arrived yet – Tomorrow is the day for that and I look forward to putting the reader in the case. Excellent quality, classy look, genuine leather, fits perfectly!!

I have been searching for a brilliant but fairly priced cover for my Kindle Keyboard for one or two weeks. My search stopped when I discovered theofficial Amazon Kindle Leather Cover. I ordered the cover in black but it is available in a few other colours as well burnt orange chocolate brown hot pink steel blue apple green and burgundy red. I chose black because I assumed it might contrast and compliment my White Kindle Keyboard.

I like the cover for lots of reasons. First off it is well made made in China. It is real leather not leatherette pleather vinyl that looks like leather. It is real leather. It has that great leather smell and the pebble finish is extremely satisfying to feel in your hand. The cover has an elastic closure band that keeps the cover closed when not in use and easily slips off when you want to open the cover to start using your Kindle.

The top cover simply flips behind the Kindle so expedite snug reading although the cover is still attached to your Kindle. Installing the cover on the Kindle could not have been easier. Hook Rotate Slide and Release. That is it. Your Kindle is safely fastened into the cover and is immediatley protected in order that it has a much better chance of surviving a drop. I could not be more happy with this cover. There are fake leather covers out there that cost as much as or more than this real leather cover.

This cover is available too with a light Kindle Lighted Leather Cover Black Fits Kindle Keyboard. That one is getting a little pricey for my blood. But I don’t really need a reading light so for me the basic leather cover this one works very well. I praise this cover for it’s quality of construction simplicity of installation and functionality. 5-stars
